Biographical Information:
In the last twenty years Bill Sturgeon has worked on over fifty
films, television shows, and commercials. Specializing in effects
management, Bills diverse career has contributed to the
stark horror of JACOBS LADDER, and the comic aliens of
MEN IN BLACK, including four Academy Award winning films, and
six Academy nominated films.
For the last five years Bill has managed Cinovation
Studios Inc., the shop of five-time Oscar winner Rick Baker,
including coordination of HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, perhaps
the largest makeup film in history. Since 1985 Bill has run three
other effects companies in the United States and Canada.
Before managing shows Bill received an extensive
education in all aspects of film, effects, and makeup while working
on such ground-breaking films as, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON,
and THE THING, and attending Loyola Marymount University for
film production and business management. Bill has also studied
new media at The American Film Institute, created prototypes
for Janet Jacksons company and worked on multimedia projects
for Brilliant Media Inc.
