A Note to Agents and Managers:

Dear Agents and Managers:

I've talked to several agents and managers over the past few years, and I must say that most have been quite courteous. I was surprised considering the cut-throat reputation agents have. Of course one mustn't forget the image of a wolf in sheep's clothing. There have been a few I've come across that said one thing and did another.

To an agent, the movie business, I think, is just that - a business. You'd think that an agent would keep his eye out for material that he thinks his client would consider interesting. The impression I have, and I could be wrong (let me know by e-mail), is that a agent keeps his eye out for material that has the largest dollar sign attached to it. I don't blame them. It's natural that they would want to get the most for their clients. After all there are percentages involved.

The thing is, if a high profile actor is attached to a project, distributors will be clamoring over one another with attaches full of money. We all know this. The subject matter of a movie becomes secondary. A star's fan's will see him no matter in what he's appears.

With this is mind, if you, as an agent, think that Brillig Productions has something in which one of your clients would show interested, let them know and let us know. The money will follow. We have connections to distributors and more will develop if the right deal is made.

Thank you,

Jürgen Heimann / producer
